Did you know that many children do not have a dependable meal when school is out?
SUNDAY MAY 20, 2021 On the first of June the Kids Summer Snack Program will start. Grandies will be helping Operation Liberty Hill in this effort by shopping for them. To complete the first distribution of 200 bags we are short on Chef Boyardee single serving bowls. We like to have at least one meal replacement in the bag for those extra hungry days. For those of you who are unaware of this program, this helps the homeless children get at least something to eat during the summer.
Cross Tracks Grandies
Grandies have been helping for several years. I will be at the church Sunday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM this Sunday, May 23 for snack donations. We will continue to gather OLH food and donations to the Thrift Store on the first Sunday of each month. We will also accept snack items for the SSP during the summer.
The Cross Tracks Church Grandies coordinate with Susan and Meredith at Operation Liberty Hill who supplies them with a list of items needed to fill the lunch sacks. The Grandies then shop and deliver needed items to Operation Liberty Hill.
Supporting Operation Liberty Hill is an ongoing ministry of Cross Tracks Church.
