Baptisms

Baptisms are a meaningful and powerful sacrament.

Who should be baptized?

From babies to adults, people of all ages can be baptized at Cross Tracks Church. We baptize by sprinkling Holy Water and making the sign of the cross on the forehead with anointing oil to invite the presence of the Holy Spirit. Or, we can do a full immersion if you wish. The United Methodist Church recognizes baptisms from other faiths and churches, and does not re-baptize people.

When do baptisms occur?

Baptisms occur during worship services on select Sundays throughout the year.

How do I schedule a baptism?

To be baptized, you must attend a preparatory meeting with one of our pastors. To schedule this meeting or ask other questions about baptism, please email or call 512.515.0070.

Weddings

Weddings are blessed and happy occasions, celebrating a couple’s commitment to each other and to God.

What is the wedding ministry?

Cross Tracks Church is pleased and honored to offer Wedding Ministry to guide you for the very special occasion of holy marriage. Weddings are available for both members and visitors to the congregation.

This sacred ceremony, in which you enter into a covenant with God and one another, creates the foundation for your marriage. By choosing to use a representative of God and God’s church, you are inviting God’s presence in your wedding and asking for God’s blessing upon your marriage.

To schedule a meeting or ask wedding questions, please email or call 512.515.0070.

What is required before a wedding?

We want you to enter into holy marriage grounded in your faith and in your expectations together. Visits to worship are required of non-members to enable an understanding of our church. Both members and non-members must complete premarriage counseling and meet with their assigned pastor prior to the ceremony.

When and where do weddings take place?

Weddings are held on scheduled Saturdays, and rehearsals are scheduled the evening before the wedding. Ceremonies can take place in the Multi-Purpose Worship Center, a modern, open space with seating for up to 300 guests. Smaller ceremonies can be held in the beautiful, historic Chapel or outdoors under peaceful oaks on church grounds. No alcohol is permitted on church grounds.

Funerals

We are here to help before, during and after the loss of a loved one.

Life’s last moments

When death is near, our pastors are honored to come and pray with you and your loved one. Through God’s love, we know Christ is our hope for eternal life. We offer this hope to family and friends knowing that a loved one will soon be in God’s eternal glory. Please call one of our pastors right away when a loved one is in need of end-of-life prayer.

How do I plan a service?

When death has occurred, our pastors and team are here to help you provide a meaningful, heartfelt service. A pastor will meet with you and help you with service details, including Scriptures, music and special thoughts to celebrate your loved one. Our hospitality team also can assist if you desire a reception following the service. To discuss a funeral (casket) or memorial service, please email or call 512.515.0070.
