Stephen Ministry
The Stephen Ministry at Cross Tracks Church trains Stephen ministers as part of the care team at Cross Tracks Church. Each Stephen Minister is a qualified volunteer who has completed 50 hours of training and committed to at least two years of training, service, and regular supervision.
WHAT DO STEPHEN MINISTERS DO?
-
- They are servants, listeners, and supportive resource people.
-
- They listen, pray, share Christ’s love, and attend to the care-giving process.
-
- They are trained to care for individuals who are grieving, in need of long-term care, who are hospitalized, who are dying, experiencing divorce, experiencing loss through aging or are in-crisis.
-
- Stephen ministers maintain confidentiality but are not licensed counselors.
