The Cross Tracks Chapel now has a new roof. The first restoration step of the 150 year old church, Cross Tracks has installed a new tin roof and copper cladding on the steeple.
Topping off the steeple is a hand made wooden cross fashioned by Jim Turner, congregation member and leader of the renovation team.
Originally a three-story building at a different location, the congregation moved it over here brick by brick in 1870. At the time the first floor was dirt and the locals would ride their horses in during the heat of the summer then go upstairs for church services.
Stay tuned as additional restoration takes place. If you care to contribute to restoring this 150+ year old icon of Liberty Hill, please donate using the button below.
